Culinary ProgramsThe primary mission, focus and ultimate goal of The Art Institute of California - Inland Empire is to assist students toward the pursuit of a satisfying career in their chosen field. To this end, we have brought together a dedicated group of individuals who are committed to providing students with career-oriented curricula - including the organizational, interpersonal, and theoretical, as well as the practical skills needed to become a well-trained entry-level job candidate in today's competitive job market.

The Art Institute of California - Inland Empire is proud of its experienced faculty, many of whom are working professionals, who strive to strengthen students' skills and cultivate their talents through well-designed curricula. Our programs are carefully developed and refined with the support and contributions members of the professional community who comprise the school's Professional Advisory Committees. The Art Institutes schools' Program Advisory Committees periodically review curricula to ensure they meet the needs of a changing marketplace and prepare graduates for entry-level positions in their field. Our advisory committees also assist us in ensuring that our equipment and facility appropriately support an effective presentation of our curriculum.

Culinary Programs Offered:

Baking & Pastry
In the Baking & Pastry program, you’ll gain hands-on baking skills. Emphasis is placed on fundamental pastry and bread-baking techniques, in addition to all-purpose baking, desserts, cake decoration, and pastry arts. To complement your culinary techniques, you’ll learn critical thinking and business essentials. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).

Culinary Arts*
In the Culinary Arts program, you’ll have an opportunity to gain practical experience in the kitchen while studying the business of cost control, sanitation and safety, menu and beverage management, nutrition, and kitchen management. You’ll have an opportunity to learn to produce food quickly and in quantity while working with others. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).

Culinary Management
In the Culinary Management program, you’ll have an opportunity to focus on communications, training, leadership, management, accounting, marketing, financial management, and employee relations. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as restaurant manager or catering manager in restaurants, hospitals, cruise ships, and banquet facilities.
